Bhavesh Patel, MD

Bhavesh Patel, MD is board certified Internal Medicine physician. Graduate of The Ohio State University with Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics in 2001. Dr. Patel attended medical school at Ross University on the Island of Dominica in the Caribbean, graduated in 2006. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Carmel Health System, where he was Chief Resident from 2008-2009.
 

Since completing residency in 2009, Dr. Patel joined hospital medicine group and has been in role of attending physician caring for hospitalized patients to date. In addition, Dr. Patel has been medical director at Diley Ridge Medical Center in Canal Winchester from 2014-2022. He also provides coverage and care for patients at long term care facility. He brings years of experience in multiple health care settings to HealthWorx.

Dr. Patel is actively involved with his local community. In 2021, he guided many people in signing up for COVID-19 vaccination, was featured on 10TV news segment.

Dr. Patel is a foodie and enjoys traveling, loves to explore different cuisines, always ready to try new restaurants around town. He loves spending time with his wife and 2 kids, biking, tennis, volleyball, board games.

Mara Sheehan, MD

Mara Sheehan, MD

Dr. Sheehan was born and raised in Austria. She always had a special interest in medicine since she comes from a long line of physicians in her family. She attended the University of Vienna Medical School from 1993 to 1999 and graduated as one of the youngest Physicians in her class. She started out in internal medicine residency in one of the major hospitals of Vienna before relocating with her husband to the US. In the US she worked at Northwestern University of Chicago as a research assistant at the department of hepatology while studying to get certified to work as a physician in the US. As a research assistant she worked closely with the department of hepatology, helped with various presentations and her special interest were the MELD score.

After completing her ECFMG requirements she was able to start her internal medicine residency at Mount Carmel West in Columbus OH. After her internal medicine residency, she immediately joined Columbus Inpatient Care, a hospitalist group with relations to Mount Carmel Grove City, Mount Carmel East, Diley Ridge Medical Center and Encompass Health Inpatient Rehab in Westerville. Dr. Sheehan has worked as a hospitalist for the past 14 years and brings immense experience in complex medical issues. Her special interests are gastroenterology and hepatology.

She carries the certification of the American Internal Medicine Board.

If not at work, you can find Dr. Sheehan on the soccer or lacrosse field watching and cheering on her three children.
